Xavier Pov :

The sound of my alarm clock woke me up at exactly 5 am , at this time I used to go for a run in the city but now the situation is little different but still I woke up and went to the bathroom to freshen up .

After half an hour I was ready in my jogging attire and decided to leave a note for mom .

Getting out of the front door , it was quite chilly and still dark . I went for a run in the opposite direction from my house and saw a few people getting out of a place that looked like a factory or something.

Sometime after I came across a park and I went inside to see quite a few people running and working out . Running a few rounds in the park I left and ran toward another direction I came across an old theatre by the looks of it I don't think it must be in operating condition or in a condition of running a movie . Rounding up a few more blocks I saw a cafe , it's 6:02 am maybe they just opened it , there was a bus stop opposite to that cafe , decided to wait there for half an hour before going back to the cafe as I was waiting I started studying the map of the town which was sticked at the bus stop , tried to find my house there but the map just had commercial building, offices, hospital and a school . There's only one high school i.e Oxford high , I guess that's my school as well.

Cafe sign says open after a while , I went inside to order my usual black coffee . I took my coffee and went outside the shop but it has already started raining , the nearby shed was the bus stop opposite

I sat at the bus stop and started drinking my coffee , noticing my surroundings while drinking, while watching everyone suddenly my eyes fell on a girl running down the streets with a bag above her head . I couldn't see her face she was looking down as if watching her steps , being careful of not falling

She was running in my direction , came and stood beside me also taking the shed or waiting for the bus . I still couldn't see her face . Few strands of her hair were touching her forehead she was trying to get it out of her face and she finally looked up .

That moment everything seemed to blurred out , as if she got the power to vanish everything around her . Nothing mattered to my eyes it was just her that I could see .

Tiny little droplet of rain on her face making her look so magnificent. Few hair strands on her face and her cute button nose scrunched up , everything about her was so perfect I couldn't take my eyes off.

Maybe she noticed my stare on her as she looked at me and then I looked at her eyes , there was never a moment where I felt lost but the second I looked at her eyes I knew I was ruined .

Her big round eyes , her dark brown orbs , those orbs shined like pearls , there was something about it that kept me captivated there was innocence , fierceness and confusion right now .

"Hey ?" she said , her voice broke my trance . "Do you need anything?" She asked . I couldn't form a reply again drowning in her eyes , collected my thoughts and came up with a reply "No it's just I am new in this town and kind of lost , do you mind helping me?"

Her brown eyes looked at me with suspicion before she replied "No I don't mind"

"Do you know where the old theatre in this town is?"

I asked. She was getting confused and more suspicious but she replied, "Yes it's few minutes away from here just go straight and take the second left and you will come across a park , just few blocks away there's the theater you are looking for"

I remembered my house from the park , before I could thank her a honk disturbed my thoughts. I saw her going in the bus and shouted , "My name is Xavier, what's yours?"

She looked at me for few seconds and replied " It's Anne , Anne Bronte"

And then she left .

Anne Bronte was the only thing I could think about the whole time I was walking back home. Till yesterday I was looking for a reason to stay in this town and today I got the reason.

I reached my home at somewhere 7:00 am . Walked in and saw my mom cooking breakfast .

"Hey I am back" I said , "where have you been ?"she asked . I sat down on table with my plate of breakfast "I went for a walk, left a note for you " I said

She continued cooking breakfast, my grandparents walked down I greeted them morning and went to my room , took a refreshing bath with Anne on my mind , after my bath I decided to unload my stuff and place it properly. Almost after 2 hours all my stuff were unloaded and placed . My room looked like the one I had in the city but with a big window and balcony.

After few hours:

I didn't see anyone for the rest of the morning, afternoon when my grandma called for lunch that's when I went down , sat beside my grandfather I made my plate and started my lunch .

"You are starting your highschool tomorrow" he announced "it's in the town , Oxford high " he further added .

"Okay" that's the only thing I said .

"School starts at 7:20 am but you have to go early to collect you schedule , you have to meet Mrs Hills she will get you settled " he said

"Okay I will reach by 7" I said

"Make sure you stay disciplined and I don't want you to fight anyone, keep your anger issues in control.

I have a reputation here in this town , people respect me here I don't want anything that could ruin my hard work I did for this Town" he said in a harsh tone, further when I stayed silent he added " am I clear to you?"

I looked at him and then at my mom , I replied "yes" still looking at mom and not him.

I respect and love my grandfather alot to say anything against him , if anyone who has actually cared about me other than mom it my grandfather.

I thanked my mom for lunch and went to the living room to play some games . Around 6 in the evening my grandfather calls me outside , he wanted to show me something. As I went out I saw him standing there with a bike

Once I was closer he said , "This is your ride , your own bike" and gave me the keys . I am so happy right now I hugged him and thanked him , called my mom outside to show what I got . She smiled at me and said , "I know you are happy but promise me you won't be rash driving and will be extra careful, I don't want you hurt, okay?"

"Yes mom I will be careful" I said , still can't believe I own a bike .

Grandpa said "We will get your license tomorrow, after you come from school"

"Yes yes , thank you so much for the gift I love you" I said

For the rest of the evening I and grandpa talked about school and stuff , we had dinner and went back to our rooms after saying our goodnights.

Amidst all the chaos I couldn't forget one name i.e Anne Bronte.

With her in my mind and today's good memories I drifted to sleep , wishing to meet her again .
